StayKey

Privacy Policy

StayKey keeps your stays organized — property names, door codes, check-in windows, and quick notes for every trip on your iPhone. This policy explains what the app may touch, what stays on your device, and what we refuse to share with booking brokers or ad networks.

Scope

This Privacy Policy covers the StayKey app distributed on the Apple App Store and read-only endpoints on this website. It is meant for guests using the app and anyone reading this page.

Information

StayKey does not ask for your passport number, billing address, loyalty ID, or payment method to use core stay-tracking features.

Hotel names, room numbers, Wi‑Fi passwords, door codes, and trip memos you enter serve only your personal log. We do not repackage them for remarketing or data brokers.

Remote Copy

Onboarding text, sample stays, or placeholder labels may load as public JSON from this domain. That content is generic hospitality wording — not your private check-in sheet.

Photos & Location

If you snap a room photo or receipt, StayKey requests camera or library access only when you initiate import. Microphone and contacts remain off unless a future feature needs them and this policy is revised.

Location is not collected by default. A map pin feature, if added, would ask permission first and be documented here.

Device

iOS storage and network access support optional templates and app updates. Crash reports you send to Apple are governed by Apple’s privacy terms, not ours.

Hosting

Cloud providers run this policy page and API routes. They keep server logs required for uptime under their own retention rules.

Any future analytics or helpdesk tool will be listed here with data limited to its function.

Minors

StayKey is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly gather personal data from minors. Reach out via App Store support if a child entered details and we will assist with deletion where feasible.

Retention & Security

Stay records live on your device until you delete them in-app or remove StayKey entirely. Uninstalling clears local storage.

We protect hosted assets with reasonable measures, but no system is flawless — treat door codes like a physical key and avoid sharing sensitive entries.

Your Choices

Stop using StayKey at any time. Tighten permissions in iOS Settings — revoke photos or network access for an offline-only travel notebook where supported.

Updates

We may update this policy as StayKey adds features. The date above reflects material changes. Continued use after an update means acceptance where law allows.

Contact

Privacy questions about StayKey can be routed through the App Store support link or the developer contact listed on the product page.
